Our Philosophy

Our intention is to nurture the whole child, to make each child feel secure, loved, and well cared for. A child’s self-esteem and ability to interact with peers and adults are of the utmost importance. We address each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs through a well-planned, developmentally appropriate program steeped in convictions about community, preferences, equality, and fairness.

Our Team

All of our classrooms are staffed by teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education. On average our teachers have been on staff for 10 years. Oak Lane serves as a “lab school” for area colleges. Our student-teacher ratio exceeds the New York State licensing standards. All Oak Lane teachers are CPR and Infant & Child First Aid certified. We are a MAT, medication administration training, Center. We support our students with varying needs by coordinating with itinerant specialists in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and special education.
